After having to re think of a new plot for out thriller movie after the constructive criticism of the class pitch, my group and I have finally constructed a final plot for our opening sequence.
After speaking to every group member we have decided to go with a mixture of mine and Ben's Thriller opening ideas, incorporating some aspects of Morgan and Pio's as well. we came to this conclusion as myself and Ben had similar doable ideas, where as going down the route of chase scenes may have been a little too much to film in the short amount of time we have been given,
Plot:
We see a middle aged man in the bathroom, showing and shaving his beard.(The shaving aspect will be a close up as the audience will feel uncomfortable as though they are invading his privacy). he slowly walks downstairs to the kitchen where he prepares himself breakfast and switches on the radio. (Tiptoe through the tulips plays on the radio, an eerie and uncomfortable song with will leave the audience feeling disturbed). as he goes to fill up the kettle, we see the sink is full of knives with blood and served fingers overflowing the sink. The man pays no attention and continues with his breakfast. (Close up oh him eating and drinking). The camera then pans right and left displaying two dead bodies lying dead on the floor. The man looks at them with no emotion (2/3 second flash back to moments before they were killed). The man fixes his tie in the mirror, picks up his briefcase and exits the front door, slamming it shut(Amplified).
The use of no dialogue and amplified sounds will shock the audience and leave them feeling disturbed and unsettled, wanting to know more about this mysterious psychopath.
