Location:

As our idea is to have thriller opening based on a british gang including the abuse of alcohol and drugs. Therefore we will be filming in locations such as blocks of flats and school environment. we want to make it a realistic as possible and therefore we will not overcomplicate our filming locations therefore we will keep or locations as to where a typical 16/17 year old boy would live and visit on a daily basis. the typical locations of gangs and crime in London is what my group and i are thinking of when we come to filming our thriller opening, using the gang thriller genre's stereotypical locations such as urban locations.

Our thriller Plot:

We would create a film that ha a similar fashion of style to kidulthood and adulthood. a young teenage boy failing at school and no parental guidance is starting to hang around with the wrong crowd. he starts to act differently ad follows in the shadows of his new friends. crime committing and drug taking leads him to being in constant trouble with the police and creating enemies, meaning he constantly has to watch his back. 

Top Boy Plot: 

The series follows the plight of Ra'Nell as he navigates the pitfalls of living in a crime filled area after his mother, Lisa, is committed to a mental hospital. The story also follows the rise of local drug dealers Dushane and Sully, and the tough decisions they must make to stay alive and in business.

Kidulthood Plot:

the film follows two days in the lives of a group of 15-year-olds from a mixed-income area of West London. The story focuses mainly upon the antihero Trevor, known as "Trife" (Aml Ameen), and Alisa (Red Madrell), his sometime partner. One of the themes of the movie is Alisa's pregnancy. She states that Trife is the father. Trife is most displeased with these developments and he makes it known through absconding from typical fatherly duties to his young flame.

Adulthood Plot:

Six years after being jailed for killing Trife, Sam is released from prison. During the course of the film, it is revealed that Sam has changed dramatically and is not the person he was six years ago. He has learnt from his mistakes and is still haunted by his crime. 

Characters: 

The film opening will be about the main protagonist along with his gangster friends. However, we will mainly focus on the troubled background of the main protagonist, and why and how he came about to be part of his gang. we will also look at other british gangster movies such as Kidulthood in order to get ideas for our protagonist. the other characters in the opening will be a few of his friends that have influenced him into this lifestyle.
